100th Post ~ January Journal

100 posts – yay!

While this blog began (and has continued primarily) as a food blog, I am hoping to steer A Fresh Brewed Faith more towards a lifestyle blog. What better post to start than the hundredth one?

This, of course, means writing more about my life, so that is my new blogging goal! Our family, our pets, the daily joys and disasters we encounter, the kitchen experiments (mess and all), the goofy conversations between me and our Kindergartener…more posts on just life in general. 🙂

Please check out my newly updated About Page, too, which tells a tiny bit about me, and has some links to more of our family’s story.

Right now, our lives are slowly acclimating back to a normal routine. The holidays were wonderful, but ended in a nasty round of bad colds. 😦 Thankfully, today  marked the start of a new and more healthy week.

Bundle started back in on her regular Kindergarten school day routine, which has helped the crazy/chaotic/holiday-no-scheudule atmosphere a lot. This month also marks our second “semester” of Kindergarten homeschooling, and we’re loving it!

I resumed piano and drum lessons with my students today, and it was fun to welcome back kids I haven’t seen for over a month! In the last few weeks I’ve also gained a few new students, and I’m excited to get to know them better.

Hubby is working hard on a beautiful woodworking project for a client, and utilizing his workshop in the garage with space heater and coffee mug in tow. 🙂

The last little bit of exciting news is that we’ll be welcoming a new baby in May! The first trimester was very stressful, so I’m enjoying the second and looking forward to the third. Hubby and I can’t wait to meet HIM (yep, it’s a boy, and as you can see I’m already in nesting mode!), and Bundle cannot WAIT to boss someone else around the house.

In a nutshell, that’s a quick update on us! I’m excited to post more musings about our everyday lives, as well as more recipes, homeschooling, gardening, and book-related posts.

Thanks for reading my 100th post, and hope your 2017 is off to an amazing start!
